Brecciated, yellow-brown and red in white to colourless chalcedony matrix, quartz, jasper engraved cylinder seal. A deity is seated facing right on a square stool with horizontal and diagonal struts, and holds a staff, which a figure standing before him also grasps. Two other figures face each other and hold a standard or abbreviated tree that has two flaring branches at the top and an ‘X’ shape on the lower stem. The figures are all highly stylised, with their robes and headdresses rendered by long vertical and short horizontal lines, their bent arms by thin lines at an angle to each other, a vertical groove for the seated figure’s torso, and filed horizontal lines for the shoulders.
