Description
Hematite cylinder seal; a figure in the royal posture, wearing a pointed hat, faces the suppliant goddess between them a couchant gazelle facing right and a lion-griffin facing left. The remainder of the scene, cut a later date, consists of a male figure in a flounced robe, with hands clasped, facing a god in a flounced robe who stands on two addorsed, couchant gazelles, and carries a crook over his left shoulder while grasping another, larger crook in his right hand. Behind the goddess is a pot above a ball-and-staff; worn and lower edge badly chipped.
