Horse trapping; silver; gilding; cast; engraved; buckle of faceted wire; decorative finial; nine alternating, incised, linked plates of two basic types: opposed peltae; crescents in pierce-work; centred with quatrefoil, beginning and ending the chain, attached by grooved loop and knob-headed pin to adjacent plates; circular plates, in two sizes; three with representations of 3 lion heads and one with a striding eagle in relief, moulded border, stylized leaf shape knob finial, two tear-drop and one crescent pendant hanging below.
