Silver annular brooch, made from removing the centre of an Edward III silver groat, Series D, minted at London, the king's head on the obverse and the pellets on the reverse have been removed to form a circular frame with a circular opening. The brooch does not have a pin hole or any other means of attachment, and therefore it is possible that conversion was not completed. It is worn, with gilding on both faces within the crevices.
