Thirty illustrations to an edition of 'Royal Engagement Pocket Atlas' for 1819: title-page, frontispiece, twenty-eight headpieces, showing scenes from Moore's Lalla Rookh, lettered to the left of the scene with the month, to the right with the number of days in that month, and below with subject details; or with decorative elements and the word 'Memorandums' or 'Cash Account'; by Angus after Stothard. 1819 Title-page: small Atlas supporting the globe in profile to right, on a plinth set on a dais with columns to either side and a classical pediment in the background. Frontispiece: 'Lalla Rookh. It was Feramorz [...] before her'; an oriental woman swooning, six women at left supporting her, sultan outstretching his arms at right, on dais, soldiers behind. January, 'O'er his features hung, the veil'; a man sitting on canopied dais with his face covered with veil, men kneeling on either side. January, 'the lute whose sweetness broke her heart'; a man lying in forest playing the lute, looking at a bird perched on tree at top left. April, 'busy shapes proclaim the Toilets' rites'; a semi-nude woman sitting at centre, attended by four maids, one combing her hair, another holding a mirror. May, 'Mokanna's self plucks the black banner down'; an oriental battle scene, man with face covered with veil at centre, raising his sword to the enemy. May, 'tis she herself! tis Zelica'; a woman clutching the leg of an oriental man and begging him, in moonlit forest. June, 'that mocking Fiend whose veil was rais'd; a man lifting his veil at centre, surrounded by frighten oriental men. June, 'loud rings the ponderous ram against the walls'; six oriental men breaking down the wall at left, with a large wooden pole. July, 'then with a bond, rushes on Azim's spear'; oriental soldiers at left, one striking the chest of a woman at right. July, 'his soul had seen a vision, while he slept'; an oriental man sleeping under tree at right, a woman appearing at left. August, 'a Paeri at the gate of Eden stood disconsolate'; an angel at right with hands in prayer, looking back toward light emerging from cloud at left.
