Description
Milk-jug and cover; hard-paste porcelain; pear-shaped, with turned foot; moulded grooved handle and domed cover with a circular hole and gilt cherry and leaf knop; the jug is painted with two waterside scenes containing seated figures en camaïeu pourpre each within an oval gilt reserve repeated once on the cover, with scattered flower sprays in green, yellow, pink, orange, blue-grey and grey around the lower part and pendent flower garlands near the rim of the jug and on the cover; rims gilt, gilt flowers around reserve and on handle and spout, foot silvered; maker's mark.
