Mould-made pottery plastic lamp in the form of a caricatured figure of a teacher reading from a scroll. He is beardless and bald, with a huge phallus, the glans of which emerges between his feet and has the wick-hole pierced at the tip. At the rear is a ring handle; above is the filling-hole. Holes are pierced through the eyes, ears and mouth. The scroll is mainly missing; the body is damaged. Covered with an orange slip.
