Mould-made pottery lamp with a short heart-shaped nozzle and ear-handles on each side. The discus is decorated, within a rosette, with a profile bust of a maenad (?) wearing a fawn-skin and the hemhem crown, holding a skyphos and a thyrsos or branch. The shoulders are plain, except for short tendrils extending from the nozzle. Within the angle of each ear-handle is a conch-shell. In the centre of the pseudo-base-ring is an impressed footprint-stamp. Covered on the upper side with a red-brown slip.
