Seal-matrix of Townseal of Boppard; bronze; circular. Obverse: church with two gabled towers on the left, round windows and arcades surrounded by a wall. Each church tower is surmounted by a cross. Brickwork on one of the towers (the second is partly hidden). Chancel is lower than the nave. Imbrications on the roof of the building and a ridge of intersecting semi-circles. At the end an eagle displayed facing left with spread wings. The surrounding wall is embattled with bastions and a portal with a round doorway in which stands the figure of St Severus robed and nimed. Inscription in legend within the borders and interior inscription below the arcade of the clerestory. Massive loop at the top.
