Attic red-figured kylix or cup with figural decoration; wheel-made; pedestal foot; pair of opposing horizontal handles. Interior: A nude woman with frontal archaic eye stoops to the left, lifts (or deposits) with both hands a large footpan which rests on three feet in form of lion's paws; she wears a saccos decorated with longitudinal rows of dots, and an olive wreath, inscription in Greek alphabetic script around the figure recording the name of the potter, Hermaios; the scene is bordered by a thin red circle; feet on the border; purple wreath and inscription; no inner markings seem to have been used: at least, none are visible, though the sketch marks are still clear.
