Dame Elizabeth Corley, DBE
Dame Elizabeth is non-executive vice chair of Allianz Global Investors, where she was chief executive officer, initially for Europe then globally, from 2005 to 2016. She was previously at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (formerly Mercury Asset Management) and Coopers & Lybrand.
Dame Elizabeth is a non-executive director of Pearson, BAE Systems plc and Morgan Stanley. Dame Elizabeth is also a board member of the FICC Markets Standards Board, a member of the ESMA stakeholder group and an advisory council member of TheCityUK.
She's a member of the CFA Future of Finance Council, the AQR Institute of Asset Management's Advisory Council and a member of the Committee of 200. Dame Elizabeth is a Trustee of the British Museum.
Dame Elizabeth is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is also a published author of crime thrillers. Dame Elizabeth was awarded a CBE in January 2015 and a DBE in 2019 for services to the economy and financial services.
In September 2016, Dame Elizabeth received an honorary doctorate from the London Institute of Banking and Finance (formerly the IFS University College).
