Nazar Yahya
Born Baghdad, Iraq, 1963
Yahya obtained his BA in fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts, Baghdad, 1986. His work has been included in a number of solo and group exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe and the USA, among them the touring exhibitions Strokes of Genius: Contemporary Iraqi Art, which opened in London, 2000, and Dafatir: Contemporary Iraqi Book Art, which opened at the University of North Texas, USA, October–November 2005, where the artist also gave a lecture on Iraqi livres d’artistes, as well as Baghdad–Paris, Artistes d’Irak, Musée du Montparnasse, Paris, 2005–6. He currently lives and works in Amman, Jordan.
