Sabah Naim

Born Cairo, Egypt, 1967

Naim obtained her BFA, MFA and PhD focusing on the human body in contemporary art from the College of Art Education, Cairo, 1990, 1996 and 2003 respectively. Her work has been exhibited in a number of solo exhibitions in Egypt, Italy and The Netherlands, as well as in group exhibitions – among them the fiftieth Venice Biennale, 2003; the Havana Biennial, Cuba, 2003; the touring exhibition Africa Remix: Contemporary Art of a Continent, Düsseldorf, Germany, 2004; Hayward Gallery, London, 2005; and Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, 2005. Naim lives and works in Cairo.
