Ebrahim Busaad

Born Muharraq, Bahrain, 1954

Busaad is a painter, calligrapher and artistic director. He received a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Baghdad, 1978, and is a founding member of the Bahrain Arts Society. He has participated in over thirty group and solo exhibitions in the Arab world, Europe and China. His awards include first prize from the Emaar Art international convention, Dubai, 2005, and most recently the Golden Leaf Award from GCC Exhibition, Oman, 2006. His works are in public collections in Bahrain, Qatar, Sharjah, UAE, Jordan and Kuwait. Busaad also designs book covers for adult and children's literature.
