Sina Ata

Born New York, USA, 1955

Ata graduated in civil engineering from the University of Baghdad, 1977, and in building management from the University of London, 1980. He turned to painting in the 1980s. His work has since been shown in a number of solo exhibitions in the Middle East and group exhibitions in the Middle East, Europe and the United States, including the touring exhibition Strokes of Genius: Contemporary Iraqi Art,which began in 2000 in London. He currently lives in Amman, Jordan, and Dubai, UAE, where he works as a creative consultant.
