Salah Faisal Al-Ali

Born Baghdad, Iraq, 1958

Al-Ali graduated from the Ecole Superieure d'Art Visuel, Geneva, 1985. He has had a number of solo exhibitions in Iraq, Tunisia and Switzerland. He participated in the first Biennial of contemporary Arab art in Tunisia ,1985 and the British International Print Biennial in Bradford, 1986. Between 1987 and 1988 he worked on the travelling exhibition and accompanying catalogue Calligraphie Islamique:Textes Sacrés et Profanes - Islamic Calligraphy:Sacred and Secular Writings, which began at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire Geneva, 1988. Al-Ali lives and works in Geneva.
