People of Sutton Hoo
Tranmer House,
Sutton Hoo
26 March –
30 October 2011
This exhibition examines the life of an Anglo-Saxon family. Using imagination combined with evidence from Sutton Hoo and other sites of Anglo-Saxon finds, the lives of a widow and her two children are recreated.
The exhibition is illustrated with objects from East Anglia and Kent, important loans from the British Museum and specially created Anglo-Saxon costumes.

Early Anglo-Saxon brooch and necklace from a female burial.
