What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

For an excellent introduction to runes, we recommend Martin Findell’s book published by British Museum Press.

Voted the best choice for eclectic international cuisine by Top Choice Awards, the Court Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy an Egyptian inspired menu with your evening visit. Drinks are not included in the dinner package, but can be purchased additionally.

17.00: visit the exhibition followed by dinner in the Court Restaurant. Available every Thursday and Friday from 17.00 to 19.00*
until 31 January 2011.
