Egyptology Galleries at the Great North Museum
A loan of Egyptian objects from the British Museum.
The new Great North Museum incorporates
collections from the Hancock Museum, Newcastle University’s Museum
of Antiquities, the Shefton Museum and the Hatton Gallery.
Highlights of the new museum include a
large-scale, interactive model of Hadrian's Wall, major new
displays showing the wonder and diversity of the animal and plant
kingdoms, a planetarium, a life-size T-Rex dinosaur skeleton and a
substantial loan of Egyptian objects from the British
Museum.
