Sainsbury Gallery at the Willis Museum
China: Journey to the
East will be held in the new Sainsbury Gallery
at the Willis Museum. This space hosts exhibitions from
the most important galleries and museums in the country as well as
some of the finest artists in the region.
Getting there
Train: the museum is within
walking distance of Basingstoke station. Follow signs for Festival
Place Shopping Centre, walk through Festival Place and out of the
south exit into Wote Street. Walk up the hill and the museum is in
the town’s historic Market Place.
Bike: Basingstoke has an
extensive cycle network. The nearest cycle parking is in Church
Street (by the Library), Church Street (opposite St. Michael’s
Church), and Wote Street (by Halifax and the Wote Street Club).
Bus: Basingstoke town centre
bus station is a ten minute walk away through Festival Place
shopping centre, walk out of the south exit into Wote Street. Walk
up the hill and The Willis Museum is in the town’s historic Market
Place.

of the M3, the A33 south of Reading and from the south take J7 of
the M3. Follow signs for Town Centre and brown signs to The Top of
