The many different forms of money that people have used through time can tell us a lot about their history and customs. Learn about Chinese monetary traditions past and present, and get hands-on with highlights from the handling collection of the British Museum's Department of Coins and Medals.

Tai Chi can be best described as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. Derived from martial arts, this fun activity is suitable for all the family at any age. Join instructor Justin Marsh to find out more and have a go.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

 


Chinese Lantern Making Workshop

Using willow and tissue come and get creative making lovely lanterns inspired by the China: Journey to the East exhibition with local artist Jo Carter.

All children must be aged 8 and over and be accompanied by a responsible adult.
