Cylinder seals, £90.00
An exhibition exploring the concept of the afterlife in ancient Egypt.
The exhibition examines concepts of the afterlife in Middle Kingdom (2040–1640BC) through objects found in the remarkable tomb of a local governor called Djehutynakht and his wife, discovered in 1915 at the picturesque site of Deir el-Bersha in Egypt.
It also offers an opportunity to gain insight into the fascinating era in which the couple lived by viewing sculptures, jewellery, furniture and other objects representing high officials of this period.
