When I was a small child, my mother used to walk my brother and me to school . In particularly bad weather we would get dressed up in our waterproofs and as we were about to venture into the outside world, my mother would rally us with the words 'once more unto the breach, dear friends'. It was not until I studied Henry V at school that I realised the Shakespearian connection.
