This study day discusses the central beliefs and related material culture of some of the major world religions, as they are represented in the British Museum.

Lectures and gallery talks introduce Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam and Christianity. There will be a particular focus on the relevance of Hajj to Islam, and the importance of making a physical and spiritual journey, common to several religions.
