Explore the rich archaeology and history of Tutbury castle with a variety of family activities.
Part of the Festival of British Archaeology.

Throughout the day you will be able to take part in our gallery trail and meet Mary Queen of Scots.

Timed activities:

  • 11.00 – 15.00:  Hands On (object handling) in the HSBC Money Gallery, Room 68
  • 12.00:  Gallery talk by Gareth Williams, curator of the exhibition Ruin and Rebellion, Room 69a
  • 11.30, 13.00 and 14.00: Coin striking demonstrations in Room 37, outside Room 68
  • 15.00: Sword fighting demonstration, outside on the East Lawn
