What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

For an excellent introduction to runes, we recommend Martin Findell’s book published by British Museum Press.

Mirror Mirror is based on an audio-visual ethnography of London’s queer Club Wotever.

Begun in the autumn of 2003, it promoted itself as a club that welcomed all genders and sexualities – a counterpoint to London’s mainstream segregated scenes.

Director Zemirah Moffat will be available for a Q&A at 15.00–15.45.

With support from the Royal Anthropological Institute. Part of a day of films exploring the theme of music in the context of LGBT cinema.

58 mins, Cert. Exempt

In partnership with Camden LGBT Forum.
