Partnership UK
Partnership UK is a network of seventeen major partner
museums that covers Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the nine
governmental regions of England, including London.
Collaborative activities, programmes and loans are undertaken
with many more museums and organisations around the UK, in addition
to the major partners.
To reach many different audiences, often for the first time, the
Museum is committed to working through strategic partnerships to
extend engagement in a broad spectrum of cultural history and
issues. It aims to increase public enjoyment and understanding of
material that is both universal and particular in meaning, to which
all have right of access.
Partnerships based on true collaboration and exchange are
essential to the British Museum’s core purpose of using its
expertise and collection as a shared resource, and benefiting in
turn from the knowledge and skills of others.
