Mr Stephen Green

Stephen Green is Group Chairman of HSBC Holdings plc. He is also Chairman of HSBC Bank plc. He began his career with the Ministry of Overseas Development and worked for McKinsey & Co before joining The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in 1982.

He became Group Chief Executive of HSBC in 2003 and Group Chairman in 2006. He is Chairman of the British Bankers’ Association and a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Council for Britain. He is also a Trustee of The British Museum. He has degrees from Oxford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Stephen is married with two daughters.
