Mr Francis Finlay
Francis is currently a director of several international
investment companies and also serves on the investment committees
of a number of endowments both in the U.K. and overseas. He stepped
down in 2006 from active leadership of the New York-based
international investment firm, Clay Finlay Inc., which he
co-founded in 1982. Formerly he held senior international
investment management positions at Morgan Guaranty Trust in New
York and Lazard Freres in New York and previously Paris and was a
member of the investment Policy Committees of both
institutions.
Educated at Oxford University, where he is an Honorary Fellow of
Merton College and a member of the Chancellor’s Court of
Benefactors, Francis was also an Adjunct Professor at Columbia
University Graduate School of Business 1981–1986. He is a Governor
of the London Business School and of the Ditchley Foundation,
Chairman of the James Martin 21st Century Foundation, Co-Chairman
of the EastWest Institute in New York and a Trustee of the
Institute for Strategic Dialogue.
