Main purpose of the job:
To acquire, curate and promote ethnographic, modern and
contemporary material from the Middle East and Central Asia. To
extend meaning for existing collections. To invest existing ancient
collections from the Middle East with contemporary social and
political significance. This relates particularly to the
development of national identities, and regime change through the
19th and 20th centuries.
