Library and archives
The library of the Department of Coins and Medals is one of the
world’s leading numismatic libraries and consists of an extensive
collection of books, periodicals, sales catalogues and
pamphlets.
Items can be consulted in the Study room, admission being by appointment
as places are limited. The library can only be accessed during
Study room hours and visitors must provide ID.
Please apply well in advance to make an appointment and to let
us know what publications you require as it is not possible to
browse the shelves. You can find all of the department’s journals
and some books catalogued on UNICORN.
