Research
The curators and staff of the Department of Asia are all
involved with research in one form or another, exploring the past
cultures of the Asian continent. This varies from excavations
and fieldwork to studying, investigating and cataloguing the
extensive collection of Asian material here at the Museum.
Research projects
The department actively carries out its own field
research, as well as supporting excavation and
fieldwork undertaken by other bodies.
Publications
Research undertaken by staff in the Department of Asia is
regularly published in books, reports, journals and other
formats.
