Object identification
Members of staff are available to assist with general
enquiries and the identification of objects relating to the
department's collection. You are advised to book well in advance to
make sure a specialist is available.
Object identification takes place on Wednesdays 14.15-16.00. We
can only give advice on general historical information and can not
provide valuations or authentications.
If you are bringing objects for opinion please go to the
Information Desk in the Great Court to get a visitor object
pass. You will then be directed to the King Edward building,
Level 2 for access via steps or Level 1 for access via
lift. The study room is beside gallery 95 and if you knock on the
door a member of staff will come to meet you.
