Unpaid internships

Each year the department offers a limited number of unpaid internships. Due to heavy demand we restrict these to undergraduate or graduate students on courses with a direct relevance to Egyptian or Sudanese culture. Placements are for a period of between two and four weeks, usually during the summer vacation.

Please note that it is not possible for placements to work unsupervised in the study collections or to handle objects.

The department cannot offer any payment, or assistance with travelling costs or accommodation.
