Anna Harrison is an organic materials
conservator with a specialism in textiles and a particular interest
in archaeological textiles. Her work includes conservation of a
wide variety of archaeological, ethnographic and historic objects
for display and loan, assessing and preparing objects for improved
storage and supervising conservation students.
Anna trained at the Textile Conservation
Centre, Courtauld Institute of Art, and then worked for one
year at the Textile Conservation Studios, Historic Royal Palaces
before starting work in the Organic Artefacts Conservation section
at the British Museum.
Current British Museum projects
Conservation and storage of Sudanese organic
material from the Adams collection, the Department of Ancient Egypt
and Sudan.
Conservation and storage of textiles from the
Department of Prehistory and Europe.
Previous British Museum projects
Conservation of archaeological textiles from Jordan.
