Mummy of Cleopatra from Thebes

 

Cleopatra's mummy

This mummy is called Cleopatra. She is a young woman of 17 years-old. She was the daughter of an important official at Thebes, in Egypt. She lived around AD 98 to AD 117, when the Romans ruled Egypt.

Kathryn found pictures of Cleopatra (and other mummies and coffins) on the British Museum website. With help from her sister, mum and grandparents, she designed and made this mummy from papier mache and cardboard.
