Biography

Artist, born Rasht, Iran and lived in Rome where he died. Mohassess was apprenticed to Seyyed Mohammed Habib Mohammadi in the 1940s. He attended the Fine Art Academy in Rome in 1954. His work comprises paintings, sculptures and assemblages. He was also a celebrated translator of literary works as well as a theatre director and stage designer.
