What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

Caricaturist; father of Isaac Robert and George. b. in Edinburgh, to London in 1783.
NB he is thought to have designed many of the later numbers in the Laurie & Whittle Quarto Drolls series, but his name is not given as designer here unless it is actually on the print.
