Biography

The watercolourist. Fellow-pupil and friend of J.M.W.Turner at the academy of Dr Monro. Visited Paris 1801-2. Exhibited panorama of London (the Eidometropolis) in 1802. Engraved his own work, also an aquatinter and print colourer for J R Smith. Brother of James (q.v.); also made prints.
