Curator's comments
The 62-gun ship was built in 1650 and renamed after the Restoration in honour of the king's sister. A related drawing of the ship in the National Maritime Museum was probably made in May 1660 when the boat was off Scheveningen, as part of the fleet which escorted Charles II back to England.
