From a series of four London views (Hind 85, 86, 90 and 107; Pennington1037-1040; see R. Godfrey, 'Wenceslaus Hollar: A Bohemian Artist in England', New Haven and London, 1994, no. 61). The original drawing for this print was given by Lord Dacre to Horace Walpole in 1761 and was sold at 5 March, 1862, Sotheby's, London.
