Curator's comments
For a broadside with an earlier state of the engraving, but same letterpress, see BM 1859-7-9-1569 (without blood splashing from the body and head).

On this kind of Dutch broadside various German broadsides were modelled. Very interestingly, there is no English version of this subject.

For a German broadside on the same subject, see BM 1869-7-10-11and 1870-10-8-2778.
