Treatment proposal
Light clean. Reduce/redo glue break -discuss with curator
Condition
Light surface dirt. Old adhesive in join, join not alined correctly. Excess adhesive present.
Treatment details
Light clean with cotton wool buds, lightly dampened with deionised water.
Took down old join with acetone applied in pipette dropper and covered for a few minutes.Removed remainig adhesive with soft brush and acetone.
Joined break with HMG cellulose nitrate adhesive and supported in correct position in sand tray until dry.
