Other departments: Conservation and Scientific Research, Photography and Imaging

Description:

The catalogue will comprise around 70 objects including mainly jewellery and costume accessories, together with several horse-harness fittings, liturgical vessels, an inscribed ceramic tile and a grave-slab also bearing an inscription.

Objectives:

This project aims to produce an E-publication catalogue and will result in the enhancement of existing Merlin (the Museum’s collections database) records. It will provide information derived from laboratory analysis, while presenting full digital image coverage (which is at present only 8%), together with gallery talks and other public lectures, conference papers and published articles on select pieces.
