The British Museum has a rich collection of Japanese coins, many of which came from the collection of the famous Japanese numismatist Kutsuki Masatsuna (1750-1802).  The catalogue will present the coin collection, its contents and history. It will also outline the key developments in the history of Japanese coins, provide a biography of Kutsuki Masatsuna, and explore the European interest in Japanese coins before the 1850s.

The catalogue was published in 2010
