British Museum Research Publications

This publication series was launched with the aim of making research and information on the Museum’s collection as widely available as possible.

Originally called Occasional Papers, since 1978 over 150 titles have been published on a broad range of subjects. Renamed Research Publications in 2004, the Trustees of the British Museum continue to publish between six and eight titles each year.

All British Museum Research Publications are peer reviewed both within the Museum and by an independent external authority prior to publication.
