objects, one (the scarab) is not entirely certain but likely
Materials/objects: terracottas, a nineteenth
Dynasty scarab inscribed with the name of Thutmose III
Chronological range of objects: LC,
Cypro-Archaic
Tomb type and status: probably chamber tomb,
disturbed
Additional information: Late Cypriot
goldwork, ivory, faience fragments, bronze mirror, four stone
spindle-whorls. It is possible that not all the Cypro-Archaic
objects were retained as the tomb is described as containing ‘many’
fragments and also limestone. The scarab was not in the register as
belonging to tomb 33 but it is the only scarab with the name of
Thutmose III that is not assigned to a tomb so has been accepted as
likely. It is also likely that many of the objects were retained as
all types in the above list are present in the database but their
provenance was lost.
