Two fragments of a bronze fibula; (1) triangular shaped bow with bulbous knob at the apex sitting on a simple ring moulding; each arm of the bow (both ends missing) is decorated with rectangular projections with incurving sides ('double axes') and simple mouldings with slightly biconical or rounded profile; remains of a boss (very corroded) on one arm; long trough-like curving catch-plate with impression of pin; the pin. (2) long, thin slightly curving pin with round section tapering from a slightly bulbous end to a sharp point; the tip is free from corrosion where it touched the edge of the catch-plate.
