Red Polished III pottery jug; hand-made; squat globular body; narrow neck with pierced lugs treated anthropomorphically; four pierced ear-handles round the body; buff clay and polished red slip; incised decoration (parallel and wavy lines from neck to base; groups of short parallel lines arranged in lozenge shapes, rather like tattoo-marks) filled with white lime; surface very worn on one side of the vase.
