Coiled sewn sandals, a category of fibre sandals, are discussed in terms of technology, and in comparison with other fibre sandals. A recent discovery in Mersa/Wadi Gawasis of a possible sandal is presented and its identification as sandal discussed.

This paper forms part VII in the series on the technological aspects of the Ancient Egyptian Footwear Project (AEFP).
